1. Who we are

Lacroix Consulting L.L.C-FZ, trading as EU Unlockr Commercial License No.: 2528655.01 Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates Email: info@eu-unlockr.com Phone: +971 50 548 0582

We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy: we decide why and how it is processed.

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain and delete personal data when you visit www.eu-unlockr.com (the "Website"), contact us by any channel including WhatsApp and Telegram, or use our services.

Our services concern relocation to France, so we may process data of individuals located in the European Union. Where that is the case we apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in addition to UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

2. What data we collect

Website visitors: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, pages viewed, referring page, date and time of access, and cookie identifiers.

People who contact us or request a consultation: name, email address, telephone number, WhatsApp or Telegram identifier and profile name, country of residence, preferred language, and the content of your enquiry, including any information you choose to share about your nationality, family situation, professional background or budget.

Messages: the content, date and time of messages you exchange with us on WhatsApp, Telegram, email or our contact forms, together with delivery and read status where the platform provides it.

Clients: to prepare an immigration or relocation file we also process civil status and identity documents (passport, identity card, birth and marriage certificates, photographs), immigration history, family and dependant details, addresses, education and professional records (diplomas, CV, employment history), financial documents (bank statements, proof of income and savings, tax returns, source-of-funds evidence), business documents where relevant, housing and insurance documents, payment records, and correspondence and file notes.

Sensitive data. Some documents required by the French authorities contain protected data, in particular criminal record extracts or declarations of no conviction, and occasionally health-related documents. We process these only where they are required for your application and with your explicit consent. Please do not send us sensitive documents that are not needed for your file.

Partners and distributors: business contact details, company and licence information, commercial terms and commission records.

Data about others. If you provide personal data about family members or dependants, you confirm you are authorised to do so and that you have informed them of this policy.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by writing to info@eu-unlockr.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it, and may mean we can no longer continue your file.

4. WhatsApp, Telegram and Meta

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta Platforms, to communicate with people who contact us or who have given us their number.

How we get your number. Either you message us first, you provide it in a form on the Website or on a landing page, or you give it to one of our authorised partners for that purpose.

What we send. Replies to your enquiry, information about your file, appointment reminders, and — only if you have agreed — occasional information about our services.

How to stop. Reply STOP in the conversation, or email info@eu-unlockr.com. We will stop non-essential messages promptly.

Meta's role. Messages are transmitted through WhatsApp's infrastructure. Meta processes your phone number and message metadata as part of operating that service, under its own privacy policy (www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy). We do not control that processing.

Telegram is used on the same basis, under Telegram's own privacy policy.

We may retain a record of conversations as described in section 7, and we do not use the content of your messages for advertising or sell it to anyone.

Where we operate the WhatsApp Business Platform on behalf of a business partner — for example a distributor whose leads we handle — the partner is the controller and we act as processor, under a separate data processing agreement.

5. Who we share data with

Government and official bodies: French consulates and embassies, prefectures, ANEF/OFII, ministries, and equivalent authorities relevant to your file;

Visa application centres acting for those authorities (for example VFS Global, TLScontact);

Independent professionals engaged for your file: lawyers, notaries, accountants, sworn translators, insurance brokers, real estate agents, banks;

Our offices, affiliates and authorised distribution partners, where they are involved in serving you;

Service providers acting on our instructions: website hosting (Namespace), email and document collaboration (Google Workspace), customer relationship management, cloud storage, messaging platforms (Meta / WhatsApp, Telegram), payment and banking providers, analytics providers;

Professional advisers, auditors and insurers;

Courts, regulators or law enforcement, where required by law or to defend legal claims;

A purchaser or successor, in the event of a reorganisation or sale of our business.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. International transfers

We are established in the United Arab Emirates and work with authorities, partners and providers in several countries, including France and the European Union, the UAE, and other countries where we or our partners operate. Your data will therefore be transferred across borders, including outside the EEA.

Where data protected by the GDPR is transferred to a country without an EU adequacy decision, we rely on an appropriate safeguard: Standard Contractual Clauses with the recipient, your explicit consent after being informed of the risks, or the fact that the transfer is necessary to perform our contract with you or to establish or defend legal claims — which is typically the case when documents are submitted to a French consulate for your own application. You may request details by writing to info@eu-unlockr.com.

7. How long we keep it

CategoryRetention

Enquiries and messages that do not lead to an engagementUp to 24 months from last contact

Client files (immigration and relocation)Duration of the engagement, then up to 10 years, to handle renewals, appeals and potential claims

Accounting and invoicing recordsAt least 5 years, as required by UAE law

Identity verification and compliance recordsAs required by applicable law

Marketing consents and opt-outsUntil withdrawal; a record of the opt-out is kept to honour it

Website logs and analyticsUp to 14 months

At the end of the applicable period, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

8. How to access, correct or delete your data

You can ask us at any time to:

access the data we hold about you and receive a copy;

correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;

delete your data;

restrict or object to processing, including objecting to marketing at any time;

receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;

withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

How to request deletion

Send an email to info@eu-unlockr.com with the subject line "Data deletion request", from the email address you used with us or including the phone number you contacted us on, so we can identify your records. You may also send us the request in the WhatsApp or Telegram conversation itself.

We may ask for proof of identity. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days, and we will tell you if any data must be kept and why.

Data we may have to retain despite a deletion request: accounting and invoicing records required by UAE law, compliance and identity verification records, a minimal record of your opt-out so that we do not contact you again, and documents needed to establish or defend a legal claim or forming part of a file already submitted to an authority. Everything else is erased.

Deleting your data with us does not delete the conversation stored on your own device or on WhatsApp's or Telegram's servers — you can delete those directly in the app.

Under the UAE data protection law you also have the right to request that processing be stopped and to object to processing disproportionate to its purpose. We respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests.

9. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office, or to the supervisory authority of your country of residence in the EEA — for France, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr). We would appreciate the chance to resolve the matter with you first.

10. Cookies

The Website uses strictly necessary cookies for it to function and remain secure, functional cookies to remember preferences such as language, analytics cookies to understand how the Website is used, and third-party cookies set by embedded services such as Google Forms or messaging widgets.

Non-essential cookies are set only with your consent, which you can give, refuse or withdraw at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

11. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk: encryption in transit, access control on a need-to-know basis, authentication requirements for staff accounts, segregation of client documents, provider vetting, confidentiality undertakings for staff and partners, and staff training. No transmission over the internet is entirely secure; if you consider a channel unsuitable for a particular document, ask us for a secure alternative.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to create a risk to your rights, we will notify the competent authority and, where required, you, without undue delay.

12. Automated decisions and AI tools

We do not take decisions producing legal effects concerning you based solely on automated processing.

We may use software, including AI-assisted tools, to help our team organise files, translate documents, and draft correspondence. Every assessment and message concerning your file is reviewed by a member of our team, and we do not provide client documents to third parties for the purpose of training AI models.

13. Children

Our services are directed at adults. We process data relating to children only where they are family members included in an application, on the basis of information provided by a parent or legal guardian.

14. Third-party websites

This policy does not apply to third-party websites and platforms linked from the Website. Please review their own policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always available at this address, with the date of the last update at the top. Material changes are notified to active clients by email.
